We have had recent cause (or at least our parent company has) to instruct Roland at Howell & Co on a commercial property purchase. They sent us their client care letter, and eblazoned on the front is what we're about to share with you here. It's the advice we plead people to accept and follow when clients have virtually any contact with our office, or indeed with either surveyor in person.
We're highlighting it here 1) to say a 'Thank You' from us, but also 2) 'Thank You' from our end of the housing market on behalf of all movers.
To the estate agents reading this - STOPPIT! You're constantly talking 'target completion dates'. Where, if you truly had the client stress levels as a concern you'd be talking 'target exchange dates'
The client care letter speaks for itself, all we'd say in addition is that if they added - 'and expect 1-2 weeks from exchange to completion' it would be super perfect.
